Hasegawa Kyushu J7W1

Kyushu J7W1

Manufacturer: Hasegawa

Scale: 1/72

Additional parts: none

Model build: Oct - Nov 2015

The Kyushu J7W Shinden was an experimental Japanese fighter plane designed as a last-ditch defense against American B-29 bombers during World War II. Its unique feature was the placement of its wings at the rear of the fuselage with a propeller at the back.

Developed with haste, the Shinden was intended to be highly maneuverable but faced numerous technical challenges. Only two prototypes were completed before the war ended. Despite successful test flights, the aircraft never saw combat.

One of the prototypes survived the war and is now on display in the United States, while a replica was recently built for the movie Godzilla Minus One

Hasegawa Kyushu J7W1

A Kyushu J7W1, painted in the classic Japanese Navy colors. I know, that this one has to be green, but as I like this color scheme, I made it this way.

This is a 1/72 scale Hasegawa kit, not too much parts and build OOB. Airbrushed with Revell Aqua Colors, using the original decals.
