The Kuma-class cruiser Tama was a Japanese warship that played a significant role in World War II. It was launched in 1921 and served in various operations throughout the war, including patrols in the Aleutian Islands and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Despite its involvement in numerous battles, Tama ultimately met its fate in October 1944, sunk by a submarine attack.
IJN Tama, a 1/700 scale Tamiya kit. First Japanese ship to build in this scale. I tried to enhance the antenna rigging and this was even more difficult than adding the crew and other PE parts. It still can be enhanced, but it is better than on the previous ship models I did.
Build OOB with PE crew and railing. Antenna is made from EZ-Line. Painted with Revell Aqua Color and Tamiya weathering rust.
