Perry Rhodan and the Vega Mystery

The year is 1419 NGZ. A lone figure stood on the observation deck of the Iridul-class cruiser, CS Vaarii, its sleek, ovoid hull casting a long shadow on the ochre sands of the alien world. This was Perry Rhodan, Earth's most celebrated explorer, ever the picture of steely resolve with his trademark salt-and-pepper hair and piercing blue eyes. Behind him, the alien sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of violet and crimson.

The Vega system, 27 light-years from Sol, held a special place in Rhodan's heart. It was here, in 1975, that he had first encountered the Ferronen, a humanoid race with cerulean skin and copper-kissed hair. Back then, they were confined to their own system, yearning for the stars. But humanity had taken them under its wing, and over the centuries, a deep friendship had blossomed. The Ferronen had not only mastered interstellar travel but had also incorporated elements of human technology into their own starships, a testament to the enduring bond between the two species.

The CS Vaarii, a light cruiser with a formidable reputation, was a prime example of this collaboration. At 115 meters long and 60 meters wide, it was classified as a light cruiser, its egg-shape a familiar silhouette in the Ferron fleet. Often deployed for patrol or escort duties, the Vaarii was a versatile vessel, a testament to Ferron engineering prowess.

But something was amiss in the Vega system. An unsettling silence had shrouded the once-bustling trade routes. The usual chatter on communication channels had been replaced by an unnerving static. This disquietude had prompted the Galactic Federation to dispatch Rhodan and the Vaarii to investigate.

As Rhodan surveyed the alien landscape, a sense of foreboding gnawed at him. The silence was oppressive, broken only by the hiss of the cooling systems on the Vaarii's hull. Orders had been issued to initiate a planetary scan, and Rhodan awaited the results with a growing sense of unease. The Ferronen were a peaceful people, and their sudden disappearance was a cause for grave concern.

What had transpired in the Vega system? Where were the Ferronen? These were the questions that burned in Rhodan's mind. One thing was certain: he wouldn't rest until he unraveled the mystery and ensured the safety of his friends. The adventure was just beginning.

Introduction:

The home system of the Ferronen is the Vega System, 27 Light years away from Sol. The Vega-System was the first extrasolar system visted by Perry Rhodan in 1975. The humanoid Ferronen have a blue skin and copper coloured hair. At the time of the first contact, they were able to do planetary voyages in their own system, but were not able to do faster than light travel.
Since then the Ferronen got a close friend to humans and were able to enter interstellar travel as well.

The ship:

The IRIDUL class cruiser has the typical egg-shape of a Ferronian spaceship. With a lenght of 115 meter and a diameter of 60 meter, this ship is classified as a light cruiser. The majority of the Ferronian fleet consits of ships of this tyee, used either for partol duty or escort of transport ships.

The model shows a light cruiser of the IRIDUL landed on a foreign planet in 1419NGZ.

The model is 3D-printed with an Anycobic Mega using PLA. Scale is 1/2000, the model is painted with Revell Aqua Colour. The model had no landing legs, so I made some simple 3D models and printed them with a Anycubic Photon.
