The Heinkel He 70 Blitz was a fast German monoplane designed initially for Deutsche Lufthansa as a mail plane. Its aerodynamic design, including an elliptical wing and retractable landing gear, contributed to its high speed. It set multiple world speed records and was later adapted for military use by the Luftwaffe and other air forces.

Despite its early success, it was quickly replaced by larger and more capable aircraft as it could only carry 5 passengers and was primarily used for training by the start of World War II. It is notable for influencing the design of the Heinkel He 111 bomber.
