The Team

This website is a collection of all the models our team has built since the 1980s. While we started building "normal" scale models, our main focus is on "what-if" models. Models of aircraft or ships that never existed or were painted with markings they never had in real life.

We do this either by kit bashing, using several kits to make a new one. Or scratch building to make new models by making our own parts and combining them with existing kits. And lately we have gotten into 3D printing, which is a great extension for making what-if models.

Since none of this can be done alone, there is a small team that designs and builds the models and runs the website.

Scratchbär

Scratchbär

Scratchbär is the head of the operation. She (yes, it is a female bear) plans all the models, thinks about the designs, and supervises the work of all the other team members. Because of her small size, Scratchbär can easily see all the details of the models being built.

Scratchbär is always looking for inspiration for new models, so he likes to travel around the world to see something that could be made into a model.

Pedell

Pedell

Pedell is the assistant for the daily work. While many say Pedell is a fox, Pedell says he is a hamster. He may not be the smartest, but he has the stamina to oversee a long-term operation like 3D printing parts.

Okay, sometimes he falls asleep at work and fails to notice when a 3D printer is not working as it should, but Pedell is always eager to learn more and improve his performance. As Scratchbär says, Pedell always does the best he can do.

Lümmelbär

Lümmelbär

Lümmelbär is the newest member of the team. Although he is the smallest, he always wants to have "action" and do some dangerous things.

Lümmelbär does not do scale modeling himself, as it has no "action", but he is into music and wants to use his skills to add a few things to the website from time to time. So he plays around with Suno quite a bit to add some musical interpretations to some models.

The Human

And yes, there is this person. He does all the day-to-day work that goes into making the models. So he has to do all the things that Scratchbär tells him to do. But the human cannot decide what to do, he always needs the advice of a bear.
