The Spruance-class destroyer was the primary destroyer for the US Navy in the 1970s and 1980s. Designed to replace older destroyers, it was named after Admiral Raymond Spruance. These destroyers were built for anti-submarine warfare but also had some anti-aircraft and limited anti-ship capabilities. Upgraded versions could launch land-attack missiles. The Spruance class was retired in the 2000s and succeeded by the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer.

Btw, did you know that the Chinese word "Lee" means something like "We try to build scale model kits, but they do not fit together at all, so model builders want to throw them out of the window".....
I guess this was the first Spruance-class destroyer which was close to fly out of the window from the 6th floor....
Anyway, it was more or less a test model and the first attempt to use PE-parts on it, including the crew.
