Musashi was a Japanese battleship, the largest and most powerful ever built. It was part of the Yamato-class and was armed with nine 460mm main guns. Commissioned in 1942, Musashi served as the flagship of the Combined Fleet until it was sunk by American aircraft during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944. Its wreck was discovered in 2015.
