Pourquoi-Pas was a French ship used for polar exploration led by Jean-Baptiste Charcot. It completed two Antarctic expeditions and various scientific missions in the North Atlantic, the English Channel, the Mediterranean, and the Faroe Islands.

The ship was involved in several notable events, including the search for the Italian dirigible Italia and the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen.

Unfortunately, Pourquoi-Pas was wrecked in a storm off the coast of Iceland in 1936, resulting in the death of Charcot and most of the crew.
