The S-Boot was Germany's largest fast attack boat of WWII. Built in numbers and continually improved, these vessels were equipped with powerful engines, enabling speeds exceeding 40 knots. To counter increasing threats, later models featured reinforced protection for the crew. Despite their speed and firepower, the S-Boats suffered heavy losses during the war.
S103, commissioned in 1941, was sunk during an air raid on 04.05.1945.
Post-war, surviving boats were distributed to various countries, including the Soviet Union, Norway, and Denmark. Some were even returned to Germany for experimental purposes.
A little German S-Boot (or E-boat as called in English) of Hellers 1/400 Kriegsmarine set.
This set contains 12 of those little S-boats, a Type VII sub, two Minehunters 1935, a Flottentorpedoboot 1939 and a Destroyer type 1936Mob. So a lot to build.
The S-Boot is build OOB with some additional PE parts and painted with Revell Aqua.
